About me
I’m an amateur photographer who lives in the Chicago metropolitan area. I’m mostly interested in and photograph all things nature and wildlife both in the local area as well as wherever I am fortunate enough to travel.
I’m that person who’ll go somewhere to see a rare (or not so rare) bird or animal, drag anyone willing to indulge me, wait outside in all kinds of weather for the chance to get a glimpse of wildlife in its natural environment, and hopefully capture the moment in a photograph.
I’ve waited patiently in deep snow, had up-close encounters with bears, walked along the lakefront in blizzards, laid on a beach in sand and surf, and hiked forests trails in frigid temperatures for an opportunity to catch a glimpse of something. Did I get great photographs from all these times? No, of course not. But I certainly remember those times and am glad I ventured out to experience nature. That stays with me and that is what keeps me going.
Every time that I go out, I enjoy being outside, appreciate the beauty of nature and wildlife that surrounds me, and try to capture interesting images. I have always just done that for myself and then share those photographs with family and friends. I decided to now put myself out there and see what others think of my work. I hope you enjoy it.
